The Green River carves through the Utah side of Dinosaur National Monument, named for a spectacular collection of dinosaur fossils found all over the region. It also features the Quarry Exhibit Hall which is a building built around a natural hill that was carved into where hundreds of dinosaur bones are exposed in their original location to show the extent that fossils abound in the area. The area was also home to many Puebloan people, evidenced by numerous petroglyphs throughout the park and beyond.
