The Mohonk Preserve is home to the Shawangunk Mountains. The preserve sits around the base of the mountains and links many different trails to the Mohonk Mountain House, a resort at the summit. It has a variety of trails and plenty of miles to keep people entertained, as well as rock climbers for those wanting a little more recreation. In the fall, the area becomes a colorful splattering of color throughout the area, as does the rest of the region.
